I have also removed paint on a 56 Chevrolet 210 two door by doing this.

I remember that video. Quite inventive, Ken. I bet it took longer to get up all the wet paint chips than it did to strip the car (oops, I think I said that last time.)

It took 7 hours to strip the paint. I had to go slow or I would have cut the fiberglass. I used a wet and dry vac to pickup the chips. That only took an hour.

I sold a 1971 LT1 to a guy several years ago, that had a color change paint job on it. He decided to steam clean the engine compartment. When the wand crossed the fender it took the repaint with it. He steam clean the repaint off and sported the original paint for years on a no hit body.

I used Aircraft Stripper (Auto Parts Store) use gloves, it burns if you get it on your skin. It will remove paint and floor covering so drop cloth / plastic etc. Ventilation .... I don't like the result of soda blasting. Use a metal paint scraper with the Aircraft Stripper and then sand paper, then block sand etc. Aircraft Stripper will also melt fiberglass repairs, I didn't run in to a problem with the factory glass at all. It's a mess, but you'll like the result.
