With a write-up that flowery it must be a great, original car. Hmm, 7380R (five numbers too high and a year late). Maybe the R means restored....

If the "C" month on the trim tag is really a "G" = February, then it all falls into place. Birthday calculator says 17th Feb for final assy.

It looks like a "G" to me. Do those rivets look right on the Vin tag?

          My 65 had a vin ending in 9532, code G10, built Feb 12, 65. So this car's G16 and 10016 could fit for a G. Does 6 days production = 484 cars?

Not my policy to critique cars for sale and especially not my policy to make a comment at a show. But this particular FI unit is a puzzler.
Has a little bit of this and a little bit of that as far as castings go. At first I didn't know what Jim Baker was talking about but he's right on the money with his thoughts.
Early 64 FI Cars built in late 63 used left over 63 FI units with a tag reading 7017375R. Typically the R is the same size as the rest of the characters. But not always.

Since I have a flat screen TV for a monitor I blew the pics up 200% and see that this particular FI unit does have the incorrect air meter on it. Has the slotted screw. TYpically one would see this part on some of the early 7380 units made in 1963 and early 1964. But not much later.
Lesson 101 on FI tags for the gang here. Did you know that RP (Rochester Products) did not use the a number 8 like my printer just made. RP #8's looked like a small case g. They had/have a curly q on top of the right in the top right hand corner. RP was consisent with the 8's they used from '57 to '65. ALL (dangerous word) 8's had this curly Q configuration. As far as a 7017380R tag that is a new one for old JD. On the other hand the tag has incorrect characters on it so it's obviously been replaced.

Right now I have the priviledge of restoring a 65 FI car built the first day after the strike was over. The last 4 digits of the cars serial number are: 157X.
I don't have the owners permission to say anything else about his car. JD

                  Mike -

No, they don't - those are some oddball hardware-store rivets.
