    67: What attaches to this????

Can't figure out what was attached to this metal clip that was bolted to the differential support bracket that comes off of the crossmember. See pics. Dave

It's the clip that holds the brake line going from left to right rear.

Thx Wayne...I figured it was a line for holding something. I,ve been good at taking pictures of everything before I disassemble, but I missed this one.

That is what you call PATINA.....Nothing a little sand blasting can't fix.

              Dave,
Don't discard or lose this clip since I don't believe you will a find new or repro one easily or at all. When I did my '69, no-one had this clip. Maybe things have changed since then. Just get some EvapoRust and soak it until the rust is gone and have it replated when you do all the other fasteners.

Huh? That clip is readily available (pick your source) from Long Island Corvette, CSSB and others. Is there something I'm missing here?

                  Paul,
Years ago when I did my car this was not available. I'm glad that it now is. Thanks for calling that out.

                    Dave------

Yes, sandblasting will clean it up. The only problem will be that while all the rust will be removed, about half the metal that was originally there is already gone. Not a good thing for a frame.
