The 64 base engine was 250 hp and used a Carter 3697S (#3846247) for the manual and 3696S (#3846246) for the automatic

I have a 64/300hp. You should be looking for a 3721S for an early car (1st week of November 63 or earlier); 3721SA for something after that date. If you are not concerned with perfect accuracy or judging, then either carb will work fine regardless of the car's build date. 3721SA's are much more plentiful. Also a 3721SB will work. This is for a 65 with 300hp. These are Carter AFB carburetors.

i want the correct carb for the car. its an early 90's top flight car. it came with a box of original parts including 2 carter carbs. the car has been driven on weekends since it was judged. it belongs to a friend. the car was given to him by his dad last year before he died. his dad was a long time ncrs guy. he wants to put all the original parts back on the car and sell it. red, red, white top convertible, 300hp 4 speed. nice car.photo876.jpg

Are you going to advertise it in the NCRS Driveline?

Since I own a '64, March build car I notices a 3721SA car offered in the latest driveline. Not sure you need it or only need to replace the correct card, but one is there.
