    427 Rear Engine Lifting Eye

Would someone please elaborate on the location/orientation (perhaps post a photo?) of the rear engine lifting eye on '69 427's? The JG basically states that the lift eye is located on the right rear head and attached by one bolt, I'm looking for a little more detail as to how it is attached. Also, what headmarks have been found/are possible for this location in '69? Thanks, Doug

there was a good thread on this a while back https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthre...-pull-brackets
I may be wrong, and if so others can confirm / correct, but the rear bracket bolt was loosened and the bracket dropped after the install???

Thanks Patrick. Based on the referenced thread, we know: 1. the rear lift eye was attached on the rear of the passenger side head, 2. it was attached by a single bolt, and 3. it was painted orange during engine painting process.

Can anyone confirm weather or not the lift eye bracket was re-oriented at any point in the manufacturing process?

Also, does anyone have a photo they can share of the bracket in it's installed position?

      Thanks,

      Doug
