1963/1964 T-10 small retainer main case, three queries

Is there a 1963 MY vin range associatied with the t-10 C vs t-10 7D small retainer main case? When did the 7D case begin to appear? I also have a 7D small retainer main case cast in Sept 63 and assemblyed Dec 64. Was this intended for the 409 chevy? Thanks, Joe

Joe, I am not aware of any 63 Corvette Borg Warner 4 speed transmissons with the t10c case, I believe t10c was a 62 case but could be other years??? T10D was for all 4 speed 63 GM cars except( 63 Corvette switched from B/W switched to Muncie trans.in May).

Ed, I have a small retainer main case 1C with a cast date of sept 62 and a small retainer main case 7d cast sept 63 assbly date of Dec9 1963. Just asking about main case, I believe both tails are 7. If I recall there had been discussions saying both c and d main cases were available during the 63 model year. The 7d case I have must have been for a 64 409 chev. Just asking about the occurrence of a 7D and 1C small retainer maincase during the 63 MY.

Joe, I never knew about the T10C for 63 with the small retainer. Maybe someone will add something for you. Does it have a corvette ser. no. stamped on the case.
