Replaced the pot metal gear in each motor gearbox assy. The lube that was there was a translucent light grease. Can't find any reference to what is used to lubricate these gears. Any help appreciated.

Re: 65 headlight motor gearbox lubrication
Dennis,
Just recently re-lubed my '64 headlight motors. Dave and Chuck Anderson, fellow Texas Chapter members and Corvette Restorers recommended using CRC SL3331 Sta-Lube Engine Assembly Lube with moly graphite. http://www.crcindustries.com/ei/prod...aspx?id=SL3331
The Anderson's use that grease in all the headlight motors they rebuild and it works great and doesn't gum up.
