Ron - GR8 photo. I'd say both are "correct."

Although there seems to be fewer of the one with the "AC SPARK PLUG A212CW" embossing around, I wouldn't argue if someone showed up with that air cleaner filter on a 67 even though the 1967 TIM&JG shows an example of the filter with the "AC TYPE A212CW" embossing.

I agree Pete, the lower showed up in 1966 air cleaner assemblies.

      Daniel,
if you search this forum, there are lots of pictures of the mesh and there isn't a repro out there - that even 'starts' to get close to with correct end caps so what is out there as finished air filters with the top form as per the pic I posted is what was made in 1965,66, or 67.

Mesh over lap, you have me worried - is there a new rule on this like the new glove box key standard?
The mesh was made on a manufacturing machine and there were tolerances on overlap.
Is the filter wrong if I put up a picture with the overlap at .25 -.33 inches total?

And for the experts out there here are some notchesac212 alt notches.jpg

Here is another example of the A212CW filter. Is this correct for the 67 Corvette?

Howard, it matches what we were discussing above.

Howard, if you have no use for that air filter, I would gladly buy it from you.

              Howard,

These filters are so rare, they usually have an interesting story to go with them. Does this one?
