Re: quality lifts
I bought mine from Derek Weaver also about five years ago. One of the best things I ever bought. I also paid them to deliver and install it as I was not about to break my back. I was surprised when only a husband and wife team showed up to install it but they knew some insider "tricks" to moving those heavy pieces around and into place as they'd done it a bazillion times.
One tip tho, go ahead and spring for TWO of the sliding scissor jacks to go with it. That way you can quickly and easily lift all four wheels off the ramps. Then you have about 85% of the utility of having both four and a two-post lift in one package. About the only thing you can't do with this setup would be to drop a transverse engine and transmission out the bottom of a front-wheel drive car, but hey, we don't work on those anyway, right? And if you go ahead and buy the taller of the lifts, you can use it to lift the body off a Corvette.
