I'm in process of correcting some 1970's bodyshop work on my 67. I believe the gaps were 1/8th plus/minus 1/16th usually wider on the inboard side due to the way the pivot mounts to the outside of the bucket. And my big concern is the shape of the corners in the body. I've seen both square and rounded at the regional meets. And was told that the 67's were rounded. What is correct?

Re: 67 Headlight Bucket Gaps and Corners
Bill,
I have never seen a no hit car with square corners, usually when you see things squared off there has been body damage.
Rounded in the corners is the way the surround is made.- Top

I may be wrong but I think the radius is 1/4 to 5/16".

Re: 67 Headlight Bucket Gaps and Corners
I 100% agree. When you see the "squared off" or "irregular radius" corners for ANY C2, the car has had front end damage and repair. You will see a LOT of C2's like this.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Thanks Joe, I saw some squared off ones at Tahoe this year and couldn't verify what was correct.- Top
