Recently was judged for the first time at a local chapter level and scored 92.5%. One of the deductions was for the carb. I have a 1980 L48 automatic with a quadrajet part number 17066553 date code 0228. Runs excellent but looking to replace it with part number 17080204 and date code around July 28 to have matching numbers. Looking for any suggestions on what is the best thing to do. Is it worth the investment?
