I'm about to do my annual fall oil + filter change. Is it still the AC PF-48 or has this number been superseded? thank you.

Re: 2008 oil filter
You do know there was a filter introduced in 2009 that was designed for the higher oil pressure of the ZR1 (LS9), and that filter was subsequently fitted to the Z06 (LS7) when the higher oil pressure oil system found its way to the LS7? The newer filter with its thicker wall will backfit to the Z06. Unfortunately I would have to go back to the garage for that filter #, and it is past my bed time as it is. Someone else will chime in, or look it up on the Cofrvette Forum.
I do not know if there has been a recent change, but if the PF48 worked in 2008, and it did, why not continue to use it? I bought a fleet pack of a dozen when I got the car, so I have enough to last me a long time. I will use a PF48 this weekend when i do my annual oil change.Terry- Top

The correct oil filter for your application is still the AC PF-48. However, you can also use the AC UPF-48R.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
