    Brake bleeding question

I recently removed and replaced the distribution block on my '69 so now the brakes needed to be bled. In the past I have always bled brakes by the "on/off" method with my wife pressing the brake peddle while I opened and closed the bleeder. This time I wanted to try the gravity bleed method. I opened each bleeder one at a time and let the fluid flow. The question is- how do you know when the line is bled? Right from the get go I got a solid flow with no bubbles. I filled each chamber of the MC twice for each bleeder so I know a good amount of fluid passed through the pipes. Any advise?
    Thanks!

If you have a very firm pedal, you should be good to go. If not, use the classic two person method as you stated to ensure that all air is purged.

I've never been a fan of gravity bleeding, but have never tried it. I'd rather get the job done ASAP. The classic two-person method has always worked well for me. I don't have a wife to push the pedal, so I have to draft a friend or neighbor to do the job.

I use to use the 2 man method until I bought a Motive bleeder. Works great and really bleeds the system.

        Duke and Gary,
Thanks for your responses. In order to check the effectiveness of the gravity bleeding, I did it the old fashioned way today. I went around the car and did the "on/off" method with a helper and did not see a single bubble anywhere and had a very firm peddle. I guess the gravity bleeding worked.
