1963 horns

My horns have developed an anemic sound so i started at the front and pulled them. They do "honk" with direct battery hook up. There is a small knob which is probably an adjustment but feels frozen. Anyone have any experience? Lubrication? Also are 455 and 456 63 horns? thanks for usual good intel.

Those are the correct horns for 1963. The knob is for adjusting the horns but might not want to move after all these years. Some of the regular Corvette vendors do sell a rebuild kit for horns though I'm not sure it is an easy do it your self project. About 10 years ago I had my horns rebuilt by Ron Goralski his phone number then was 401-987-1948.

Ron is NO LONGER rebuilding horns since he had a stroke year or so ago

I called Ron this AM and found as you said his health does not allow him to do rebuilds. He was pleased to hear from me and gave me good advice on testing and adjustment. I told him I would call him back with an update and he really seemed to appreciate hearing from me again so I will do that. A really nice guy. Thanks for your input also.
