I was looking at the AIM and have a question, It shows cotter pins to retain the throttle rod at each end on my 327/340 engine, I was thinking that the return spring is suppose to retain the rod at the carb. ??? Thanks, Ed

Re: 63 Throttle linkage question
Ed,
The return spring is what I used and I believe it to be correct, the picture in the AIM may be mined from a passenger car. Makes you wonder because the spring has a large loop that seems to fit the plastic bushing.- Top

Re: 63 Throttle linkage question
Thanks Tim. I remember seeing a post a while back and it was for a later C2 I guess it must have stayed that way through 67 for the small blocks.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
