Another big step today My frame had broken welds on the right & left front cross member to side rail area , lower rear A frame kick up and the upper to lower front cross member spot welds were broken . All broken welds ground off and repaired . All damage was a result of its early days as a drag car . I dont know if a 65 BB with a 4:56 and period slicks was capable of a wheelie but I guess it had major torque . Next stop is the dip shop .

Re: 65 BB frame work .
Good luck Bill. You might think about painting the frame with POR-15 semi-gloss black paint. It's great stuff.

Re: 65 BB frame work .
Tony , I've had good luck with Imron . I flatten it as needed . Nothing hurts it including brake fluid ,thinners even slips with a hammer .
I took the frame to the car wash today to look for stencils ,shim marks etc. The only thing I found was the right side stencil.- Top

Re: 65 BB frame work .
Bill, as long as you knock down the gloss, you should be okay. That's real durable stuff too. I'm anxious to see your project.
