    1966 coupe profile information

Where can I find profile information (how many cars were built exactly like mine) for my 1966 coupe. I just bought it 2 months ago.
    Thanks in advance,
    George

    George,

Unfortunately, the short answer is you can't. You can find out how many cars had each option that your car had to extrapolate a guess, but that's about it. Tell us about your car, is it a coupe or convertible, exterior / interior color, which engine / tranny / rear and all other options. We might be able to tell you something about how rare your car is.

Thanks Joe. I'll break down the codes and send it. It's all original 1966 coupe, 4 speed, with a 327/300. The car came with NO options, which means it does not even have radio....

True 'no options' cars are pretty rare actually, despite the number crunching calculators that insist that they make up close to 50% of production.

          Mike and George-----

I agree. ZERO option cars were fairly rare and thus cannot be estimated via extrapolation. In most cases, I believe these cars were ordered by some dealers in order to advertise a "rock bottom" price and actually have the car in stock in order to create showroom traffic. Usually, this would be larger dealers, not the small town types.

One problem with ZERO option cars: they were actually hard to sell when the time came for them to be cleared out of inventory. But, by that time they'd served their purpose, so the dealer wouldn't mind deep discounting to get rid of them.

            The 4sd is an option.
