54 headlight harness problem

Hi all, I have installed the headlight harness (from lectric limited) and it seems a little short on the wire in the dish. The orintation of the bulb plug is oppisite of the harness plug witch means it has to be rotated 180 in the dish. Looks like there would need to be an extra 1/2 inch of wire to make it work right. Has anyone taken the crimp apart to slide more wire past the grommet?

LOL.....
Plug the bulb in - it will be tight fit with your hand in there....
It is tight but it will work !!

also if memory serves me right - gently pull on the wires them selves and you can gently pull them inside the cloth loom to get some slack -

Thanks Chris, Ill give that a try on the other side. I got the one in but it was REALLY tight. Dont know why they make the harness way, Ill try to pull the wires and see what happens. Nothing fits on these cars as im sure you well know.

Why would anyone in their right mind want one of these 54's with all of their problems? They don't even have a V-8.

So are the chicken wire headlights. These seem to help me go faster in mine.

You put chicken wire on your headlights too? That's what I use to repair the fiberglass. Cardboard works well also.
