How to remove 67conv vent window frame

Looking for some direction on how to remove the vent glass frame(has upper pivot and T-post) from the vent frame(bolts to the door) The frame is off the door. I was going to disassemble to send off to be rechrome.
Best I can tell the upper pivot is braised on, this project could be beyond me. If so, who does vent frame restorations?

    Thanks for any help.

Open the window completely. Using even pressure pull the window frame down. The window is held in by the T-tab. The T-tab has a 1/2 inch long shaft that goes inside the window frame. You have to push down against the weatherstrip in the bottom of the frame. Do not twist the window or it could snap the t-bar. Take your time.

Re: How to remove 67conv vent window frame

Craig, I had my vent window frames re-chromed and new rubber weather seals installed recently. If you are having the frames re-chromed, then I assume you will be replacing the rubber weather seals, too. Even if they are in good condition, I doubt you will be able to remove them without damage, and therefore will not be able to reinstall them in the re-chromed frames. If that is your plan, then remove the old rubber weather seals first and the removal of the vent window glass will be much easier using Keith's procedure. Good luck, Roger (50141)
