    Source for brake lines

Has anyone bought brake lines from a company called Inline Tube.com. I am curious about proper bends and fit compared to the original lines.

can't say anything on inline tube. but I just put on carbon steel lines sold by lone star Corvette for a 67 and they fit fine. But for inline tube I used them for my 66 Chevelle with no problems

I used InLine Tube for my 1967 Chevelle, but of course that doesn't help you with Corvette. I was, however pleased with their service and responsiveness, and in spite of being a not-quite-stock application (conversion to 4-wheel disks) they fit fine. A good company to deal with.

Not knowing any better I bought all my blocks and lines from Ecklers. They seemed to fit fine with little or no tweaking. All suppliers ship main front to rear lines with a gentle bent and you have straighten them out which is a little tedious. Other then that no issues.

Here are some shots of the crusty old lines. Ha...I just noticed the T/A bolts were put in backwards, Bubba strikes again.

            Mike -

Chassis looks great! That cup-shaped washer at the lower rear shock mount should be reversed - the flared side should face inboard.

Mike, I agree, your chassis looks very nice. It's the #8 in the pic you mentioned.

Does inline tube supply the vendors or do they all make there own lines.

                  Tim:

Some years ago, I believe that there were four (4) main companies supplying reproduction brake and fuel lines for our cars: Classic Tube, Inline Tube, FineLines, and one I can't remember right now. I believe that they supplied most of the market. When I bought my brake lines from DR Vette (now CSSB Inc) they were made by FineLines.

As best I can determine Inline Tube may be the best out there at this time. If not, they are still very good.

                  Larry

EDIT: Fourth company I mentioned above was called/named "The Right Stuff".

I looked at the Master Cylinder line that I did not install yet and it had a tag from Corvette Stainless Steel Brake. BTW they are steel lines.
