    67 M35 pan

in the new manual it states that no drain plug was used. on my dads original pan i has a drain plug. it does not look like it was added after the fact. it uses a 7/8 hex head plug (like used on oil pans). here are some pictures

here is the stamp on the side of the pan. the car was built the second week of June 67

As you now know they did use a drain plug.

So is that a error in the new manual? If so what can I do when it comes time to have it judged

I suspect most C2 and 67 judges know this. Bring your pics along that show stamping.

            Hi Keith,
In looking at the date code on the pan (T7E25D), T=Toledo, Ohio, 7=year, E=Month of May, 25+day of the month. Do you know what the D indicates.
There is a very good article on Aluminum Powerglides by Jerry Duffey in the current issue of MAC Chapter Signal Seeker Magazine available online through the NCRS website.

thanks for the heads up on the article I will have read that. I was thinking the D was the shift or line. But I have no clue. I was hopping you or someone else would answer that

On earlier cars the D (or N) was day or night shift.
