I'm trying to determine the proper finish for two bolts on my chassis. The first is the cross bolt that the emergency brake pulley rolls on. Should this be zinc plated or black phosphate? The other bolt is the upper bolt on the idler arm. Should this be zinc plated or black phosphate? The longer lower bolt is phosphate, but I am not sure of the small upper bolt that mounts to the frame tab. I've seen pictures and catalog items showing these either way,but am not sure of what is proper. Thanks for any responses.

Re: 67 Corvette Chassis plating help for two bolts
Tom I am pretty sure the idler upper bolt and nut is black phos. both my 63 and 72 have that finish. The bolt for the e/brake pulley I think its likely Zinc. but not really positive.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
