I recently looked at a 1961 315hp fuelie born in Jan '61 that does not have a windshield washer system. There are no holes in the cowl for the nozzles and the underside of the fiberglass is bare with no evidence that the nozzle holes have been filled. However, it does have the mounting bracket for the vacuum tank on the right side inner fender panel.
Did all 1961's have a windshield washer system?

Re: Did all 1961's have a windshield washer system?
Joe, All the 61 FI's I have ever restored have had a W/S washer set up. Fitting looks like a hext plug with a small pipe sticking out of the side of the hex. On an FI car they were cad plated. Some of them were also bare brass. You didn't ask but if someone has a 64-65 FI car that same fitting was used for the distributor vacuum advance. A minority of those fittings were/are bare brass. The rest are zincad. JD- Top
