I am in the twilight zone regarding fuel filler doors for a 66. White or black square? I have a mid 13,000 VIN with what I thought was an original door (white square). The colors of the fuel filler door have faded and my wife asked me what I would like for Christmas. I thought I would give her the info fro a replacement door if she desired to get one for me. I looked up vendors and found two different doors. Opinions seems to differ vendor to vendor, Noland Adams book with NCRS ect. ect. (at least as far as the information I was thus far able to gleen thru web searches).
Could a NCRS offical or some one with a 1966 NCRS judging manual tell me what NCRS would consider the proper color of the upper left hand corner square, of the Victors flag, on a 1966 fuel filler door for my VIN should be?
I am a new member Michael Mitchell (59256). The offical NCRS view would be much appreciated as I have yet recieved my 1966 NCRS manual (it's another Christmas present, which I am not suppose to know about).
Additionally, would anyone have a suggestion as to a vendor which would provide a correct replacement door?
