1971 late and 1972 early cars need information

Need information of the location and the color of the frame stencil for late 1971 June thru July and early 1972 August thru October. For the next Judging Manual up date.

1. Please if possible only list if the know location and color is original.

2. List only the Date of the cars build and the color of the stencil no need to add your VIN it is ok if what to.

3. Also if there is a double stencil.

4. Photos of any of the stencils would be an added plus please supply if you have.

I will keep and add this information for the judging update team.

my 72 had the original stencil still on the frame when I purchased.

It was located on PASS frame rail in the curve just ahead of the body mount.
It was white, upside down and rolled, not spray painted. it was closer to the top than the bottom.

My car was built 2nd week of April 1972.

Paul, my 72 was built first week in January and stencil was on the frame rail in the curve. No stencil on side of frame rail.

Forgive the newbie question, but is the reason you're not asking for 1970 through mid 1971 stencil data because you already have it well documented, or because it's believed there was no stencil? Thanks-

We know the location and color for 1970 thru late 1971 stencil. We are trying to find out when the location changed was it late 1971 or early 1972. Also with the possibility that the location varied for a short period of time. Then at some point in late 1971 or early 1972 it moved permanently to the forward location. Also for later 1972 production was there a color change to the stencil. This information is for the next manual update to help owners and judges.

Paul,I wasn't aware that the 70-72 judging manual was being revised. I would like to get involved and help in any way I can. Let me know if I can help. Can the frame stencil be seen with the body on the frame? Please let me know if there is any information that I can contribute from my car. Build date is 11/30/71. Yes the update is just starting, you need to check with Stan Falenski team leader for 1970-72 to get involved. Yes the stencil can be seen with the body on the frame. Check both passenger side one just behind the front tire the metal dust shield it could be under the seal to the frame or higher. Two passenger side on the frame at the rear area of the door.

Paul, as we have discussed in the past my stencil is located on the passenger side, somewhat under the forward edge of the door/just behind the egg crate. The original color of the ink/paint appeared to be white. The build date of the car is September 13, 1971.
