expansion tank hose routing ?

I am replacing a badly worn expansion tank and hoses. My question is this, does the hose from radiator to expansion tank go inside the hood support or on the outboard side of the hood support ?

Ron,

If it's the same as a '66, I believe the outboard side. But, someone with more experience or a current 65 TIM and JG will have to verify.

RonWithout getting the assembly manual out, I'm pretty certain it is installed outboard of the hinge, tucked down tight next to the fender.......I think the hood inner surface actually makes contact with the hose and your old hose may have some chafing in this area.

Thanks John,

that was my next question. wrapped around the outside of the hood support, it looks like the recessed portion on the inner hood will squeeze the hose with the hood closed. I guess it has to be tucked all the way under the inner fender lip ?

this routing works for me. The harness is tight under the fender lip and the hose just inside of it. 65 L76
