1964 master cylinder assembly

Hi,

My 64 master cylinder is going out for machining. I already have the rebuild kit but I was not the one to disassemble it originally. So I don't know for sure how it goes back together. My machinist is not offering assembly and I'm happy to do it, but can anyone provide a source for how it goes together?

What do you mean by "machining"? All it should require is a light honing, unless it's pitted. Then it may require sleeving. You can get the assembly procedure from the 63 Shop Manual (64 Supplement), or you can go to you tube or the internet. Despite slight differences in the designs, the assembly procedure is the same for many different makes and models of cars.

Thanks guys, this is what I am looking for. I didn't even think of the shop manual I found in the car.

paul, yes it is pitted so it is getting sleeved.
