      I wonder if that's a L88 car today?

...any more information? When? Where? What happened?

It doesn't look like a collision to me... looks like the frame just broke driving down the street?

sad to see a car end up like that. but in the first picture you can still see the frame stencil and shim counts on the frame rail.

Because of the open glove box, it looks like the driver hit the "frame-uncouple" button.
That car had the B007 "James Bond" option.
            Rare.

Judging by the vintage of the Police car, the '67 could not have been too old when it happened.

I think that telephone pole in the second picture, tells the story

Oh so it must have been a power slide into the post with the James Bond option because Austin Powers wasn't available yet.

Wonder if speed had anything to do with it

A fair amount and looks like the hit of the power slide was just behind the passengers door of course.

                        More likely 427/390hp, powerglide/ac/headrests/bolt-ons.

One of my favorite colors that sunfire yellow.

Here's another 67 that broke in half after hitting a tree sidways. This was in the Chicago suburbs in about 1977. Supposedly, the guy and girlfriend survived.

I'm sure it's been restored and sold by now though.

I still have the VIN somewhere.
