    Michael - maybe that's where the 450 HP came from ! and they dropped back to 425 the steel fittings !

      It's a little difficult to see in this picture but this new 66 427 has the 65 design carburetor bowls and small fuel line fittings.

      This was a road test on a brand new 66. I don't remember the name of the magazine.

      Note the black (not chrome) air cleaner lid and lack of a HP sticker.

        Michael -- it was Motor Trend; March 1966 issue. Also compare with bowl inlets on this Car Life road test of August 1966.
