Vent Window Restoration

I'm trying to install vent window weatherstrip into vent frame and when I removed the old WS inside the channel are some of the clips that hold the weatherstrip in. I see the same clips attached to my new WS. I'm certain I need to remove the old clips from the vent frame but I 'm not sure what holds the new clips in the frame. It appears the side of the clips wedge into the frame. Any advice on this process would be appreciated.
Additionally, the vent widow straight weatherstrip has tabs that go through the vent window "T" frame (I'm not sure that this is what it's called) and the bootom two are bent over after passing through the "T" frame, no problem. The top two go through the "T" frame and than go through the front window channel. Problem is the top two tabs are not long enough to go through all and still leave room to be bent. Any advice on this.

Walter, The new vent window weatherstrip should have those clips installed and they do wedge into the frame. and the sealing strip I believe does have tangs that bend over Is it possible the sealing strips have a set of longer tabs? So maybe there is a left and right? I did my 63 convertible with No issues that I recall.
