    '73 Owner's Manual

    Does anyone know how to distinguish an original '73 owner's manual from a repro?
    '69 Blue/Blue L36 Vert w/ 4-Spd
    '73 Blue/Blue L48 Coupe w/ 4-Spd
    '96 Red/Black LT-4 Convertible

      Floyd,
      All the originals had Corvette News cards and originals have clear and crisp photographs. The Helm, Inc. re-issue manuals have photos that are not nearly as clear. If you saw them sde by side you would become an expert quickly.

          Doesn't the reprint say so on the inside cover or 3rd page?

              Don,
              There are reprints done by independent printers as you say and those would say "Reprint" on them
              I'm referring to the re-issue owners mnuals reprinted by Helm, Inc. who is the original supplier to Chevrolet. Back in the day Chevrolet ordered additional copies to be sold over the counter in their Parts departments after the initial St. Louis printing was used up. Those re-issue manuals are of a different quality than the first run.
