Original 53-55 six cylinder expansion tank cap?

Per the Technical Information manual I am aware that the 778 cap has three different configurations as to the placement of the 778 and 4#. But I'm curious about the two caps in the photos since one has patent numbers on it and the other does not. Both photos were taken on very low mileage 54s.Yager 54 194.jpgHall 54 200.jpg

    What do you think?

Please post photos of any six cylinder chrome expansion tank caps you are certain are original and a photo of a known repro would be nice for comparison. (Speaking of which, does someone still make the repros?)

Also I have only seen one car with an original chrome valve cover. I'm interested in finding out if the oil filler cap on the chrome covers was the same as used on the painted covers but chrome plated. For some reason I think they may not be the same caps. So any photos of those would be appreciated.
