Here are the rivets I set on my 63 carrier, they look good enough for me.

I set my rivets using the aircraft method pounding on the flat side. I took a few different bucking bars made from scrap around my garage. they don't have to be heavy like the aircraft style for steel or SS rivets. I concaved them in a few places to get the dimple. I find its easier to get a tighter finish between the parts that way. Some rivets i had to do the other way because either the gun or the bar wouldn't fit. Having a few cleco's and the pliers for holding the parts together is handy and easier then bolting them together and removing the bolts as you put in the rivets. The main thing is the rivets are the right length for the parts. To long the dimple won't form correctly, to short no dimple and won't hold. Practice, Practice, makes it easy.
