    65 nose and fender flags

I'm looking to replace my flags on my 65 they are too dark. Do the ones from Trim parts look right and will they pass judging thanks

Ralph, Sounds like you have the Chevy over the counter service replacement flags that are correct for '66.
NOS fender flags are impossible to find for 63 to 65.
Trim Products flags are very nice for the money. I would go ahead and use them. John

        Ralph,
How about repainting the flags you have? I've done it before with no complaints on the judging field. If you have genuine GM emblems, it might be worth to have them repainted through Trim Parts. (That might take a couple different phone calls to get that accomplished.) Otherwise use their new emblems. I usually install them with black speed nuts and a glop of strip caulk under the nut.
        Hope this helps,
        Marco

Ralph, the 63 to 65 side flags have a cast number on the back. It ends with 158 I can't recall the beginning. Occasionally they will come up on ebay. Look carefully at the chrome and the paint. A good used set with no chrome blemishes and one paint chip just sold for around $60.00. Otherwise LIC has them, part 01-01C, for $47.00 per side.
