    Lug Nut Manufacturer Stampings

    Hi all,

Here are a couple of C1 lug nuts that I have that have the manufacturer stamps. I am told that the diamond is for Detroit Diamond, but I am not sure who made the triangle one.

Does anyone know of other manufacturer stamps on lug nuts, either C1 or C2, etc.? Pics would be welcomed.

    Thanks,

    Bob

Here's a couple of variations I have. I've never seen the diamond marking before.

Here's a thread I've done in the past that might be interesting to you:

Bob, The triangle logo may be from SPS Technologies located in my state of PA. This company has plants in CA, OH, and PR
Notice the triangle point is toward the threads on their nut products.
Since I have been making various hardware kits for FI's for eon I believe I dealt with this company at one time since they are in PA.

The diamond logo is a tough one. Many fastener manufacturers used a diamond. But the center of the diamond contains a line or letters. One of the diamond companies is from Japan. You said it's Detroit Diamond though. We try and match the logos of nuts on our Corvettes. Well that's a wonderful idea but not always the way it happened on the assembly line. John

          John,

You mean to tell me that the assembly line workers in St. Louis were not assemblying Corvettes with the exact same fastners on every bumper, wheel and part they attached to my Corvette. Well my Corvette is perfect and every nut, bolt, washer and fastner is exactly the same.
I'm shocked that the LWC is not as perfect as my 63 Corvette.
May your LWC fall in a sinkhole!
