    69 corvette cpet

I have read several post regarding carpet suppliers. Is anyone willing to say which vendor's carpet will pass judging? Al Knoch, ACC, Corvette America, etc. I would believe that a interior judge would know which vendors will pass.

If you define 'pass' as with no deduction the answer is: none.

        Phillip,

This carpet is the ONLY carpet that has the original IMCO logo on it. ROMEO ENGINEERING they're in the Driveline.

          Jeff,
The logo is present but it is easily detectable.

            Dave,

The logo is detectable, but this carpet is Brand New and looks good. How many points could you really lose for this carpet compared to a worn out original piece?

Its better than worn out carpet because you will get the condition points. Nice original carpet will do as good or better.

Yes without a doubt! Nice Original carpet is the BEST.

My question would be, where do you order nice original carpet???

Maybe some old faded dirty original carpet but no nice original carpet is advertised!

At least from a couple of feet NEW carpet looks nice! But not original!

                    Hi Philip,
Since the carpet itself is detectable as not being typical of the original material I think you can still help matters by being careful about duplicating the installation details like the flap cuts for the front seat track bolts, the cut and amount of carpet at the plugs on the front of each foot well piece, and the cut and binding of the carpet on the rear bulkhead. The installation and configuration are 2 parts of the matrix you can do something about.
                    Regards,
                    Alan
