Well, that does look like my '70 05864 key switch.

At one time these were pretty common low voltage, on/off switches that were repackaged by many suppliers. Sometime in the 90's I found a bunch blister packed on pegs at a local auto parts store. I contacted the name on the package and purchased several dozen directly from them. Below is a picture of one I have left. Notice the large escutcheon that came with it.

Briggs & Stratton used to, and Strratteck may still be, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. There is a fairly large swap meet in Jefferson Wisconsin. One uised to see these switches by the dozens at that meet as well as Snap-on tools from Kenosha Wisconsin. Ah, those were the days.

BTW: There is a similar configured switch that does not allow key removal until the switch is on, so when buying be sure the key comes out in both positions.

Now there's a big swap meet gotcha... thanks Terry.
