Judging New Reproduction Wheels

I am looking at purchasing reproduction wheels for my 66. As we know the "real deals" are very "pricey.
I asked the manufacturer to send me good clean pictures so I can present them to the discussion board and ask the question....
How many points will I loose with these wheels (and using real clean caps) They have the dimples but not the GM stamp. And we know of course these have no date codes ...... but they aren't visible anywayCorvette Wheel Front2.jpg

Bill, There isn't a good way to tell how these will judge from a picture. They look OK, but this side will be covered with a wheel cover with very limited visibiity of the wheel itself. If they lack the GM stamp, this will be evident only on the spare and I would look for a ginny to serve for this purpose. I suspect they wil judge on the car OK. Most exterior judges only do a "reach around" to check configuration of the mounted wheels. Some may actually peer through the wheel cover to see them, but usually only of they feel something strange on the back side.

Since these repops have become availible, I've seen a few 65/6 sets availible for around 200 - 250 per wheel. I expect the price to stay in that ballpark for awhile.
