Bill, what I have is from 2012 and is red / white owner Jay J. located in Hillcrest, Ill - do you think it's the same car ??? I have had several cars over the years that have shown up different colors after several owners and more often with sidepipes and knock-offs. I just note the pipes and wheels as there are far far too many with the k/o's and pipes than could have ever been built. Red would be much more desirable than blue. I have more blue cars listed than any other color (which fits total production for all 65's). 16492 does not show up on the survey Nolan did or Charlie did.

Tom I have the 16698 as being a California car at one time . I do not have any options or colors .

Yes that is the same car /owner . My old info could be wrong or it could have had a color change at one time .

Bill-Carl: do you know what the trim code 402 AA was in vinyl (I have seen a few differnt codes color codes, and do you know what the paint code 900XX is?

Tom, trim code 402AA is Black Leather (STD is the code for Black vinyl) - XX is trim code (RPO code) for yellow exterior - many thanks for info - Carl

Bill, not sure if you have my old L78 coupe. VIN 23384, L30 build date, very late car. Blue/Blue, sold new at Baher Chevrolet in Los Angeles, where Dick Gulstrand was a salesman at the time. Side pipes, knock offs, Gold Lines, L88 cam, over the counter M22. Had to wear ear plugs....what an awesome car.

Wayne Clems car was 14271 . I had a copy of his window sticker but when my basement got wet a few years ago it bit the dust . I dont know what options he had .

Thanks Chris . I had it on my list but did not have all the options . Its one of the oldest I have . How did it run with the L88 cam . I have a NOS L88 cam I was going to use but every one says it would run better with the stock L78 cam ?

Bill, when I bought the car in 2000 I was owner number 18! The pipes were added and knockoffs were repros. 370 gear. The L88 cam sounded unreal at 6500+ rpm through the pipes. Brought a tear to my eye. No low end torque with that cam, ...but the sound made it all worth it.

Chris thats what I thought two . mine has a 456 rear so it wouldnt take long to get to 6500 . Where is your car now ?

Bill -- I have it, but for some strange reason, I can't attach to a post. Is it only coupes you're interested in ? [and specifically no radio coupes ?).
