    1969 Door Limit Switch Finish

I have 350/350 convertible that I am doing a frame off restoration and restoring the parts as I remove them with the intent of have all parts restored before starting reassembling the car. Could some one tell me the finish on the L shaped Plunger Bracket that is located in the engine compartment and the Plunger Bolt that pushes on the limit switch? Thanks for any information? Steve

    Steve-----

the 90 degree bracket is natural steel finish. There may be some sort of invisible anti-rust coating, though, because in 45 years mine shows very little evidence of corrosion. The plunger bolt is black phosphate. The nut is black phosphate. The two small hex head screws that attach the bracket to the rod are black phosphate. The rod is semi gloss black.

Trust me Joe, the lack of rust on that right angle bracket is because of where you live. Being from the Midwest I have seen lots of rusty ones.
