Mike, Do you mean the NCRS BoD or the Museum BoD?

I recall some marathon meetings that went on for more than 12 hours. In the end we all (well most of us) came away friends, though, and that is what counts most. You are right though. Things did get downright nasty, unfortunately. There was an ugly underside to all that. It is too bad that not everyone acted like adults.

I believe like having a baby you don't get to see it without the labor pains & a lot of pushing& screaming. They say all good things come to those that persevere & you guys sure did.

The first contribution to the project was $2,500 donated at the Meeting at Cypress Gardens by the Florida Chapter NCRS ( I have the canceled check). For the next 3-4 years we held auctions to support the effort at our banquets that raised 15 to 30 K per year. The shirts sold at the grand opening were purchased by Bill Locke on his own line of credit since there was not any money available from the NCM. He purchased and sold 10,000 t-shirts and 600 polo shirts. We sold 9500 of the T shirts in 3 days and gave the NCM $60,000 after all of his expenses were paid. Tyler

I dont see Noland's name in the article...which seems a bit strange. He and Dan Gale were mailing me at the time with requests before the buiding was erected.
