1964 coupe factory AC. Serial number for the tag on the AC evap housing/box?

Since i do not have the original tag that was placed on the outer AC evaporator box on my factory AC 1964 coupe how do i find the serial number for the AC evaporator tag?
I suppose it will be impossible to have the correct number but i would like to have the number as close to correct as possible
I have a serial number that is placed on the evaporator housing for a 1963 but that serial number will not be correct

The production date for my car is December 6, 1963

The picture is a bit small so it is not easy to see what the numbers are on the tag
Can you tell me what the numbers on the tag on the AC evaporator housing is on the outer AC evaporator housing you have?

What are the numers on the left side and on the right hand side

I was sure that you could order the tags with the numbers and letters you wanted ready stamped but that was wrong
Just heard back from the company that sells the metal tags for the AC evap box and you have to stamp the tag yourself

Claus, is the 67D a 1967 date? I think I would stamp it with a 64.......

The tag on the one from ebay have the following letters: EBA 70 64B in the left field and the serial number is 0001392

The tag for my car should be something like: EBA 70 63D and the latest letter for 1963 made C-60 cars and a serial number earlier than 0001392 since my car
was built December 6, 1963

Any knows if there is a parts store that stamps the tags or do i have to stamp the serial myself?
I asked one store that sells this tags yesterday and they said i have to stamp the metal tag myself

I don't follow your logic. I think the 0001392 is the serial number of the unit not the VIN of the car. If a July built 63 has 63G then I would think a 64 model would be something after 63G not prior.

Harry i was thinking of the date on the tag from ebay which have a 64 B tag
So i will need a tag that have a serial number after your 63 G evaporator tag but before the 64 B evaporator tag from ebay

Left Harry`s 63 G tag and to the right 64 B tag from ebay

I suppose that the G in 63 G on Harry`s tag and the B on the 64 B on the ebay tag indicates the month of manufacture for the year?
