need help 1958 going nuts !!

question about my 1958 Powerglide equipped car. Is the hole on the firewall side of the carburetor plugged? My car wasn't equipped with a windshield washer system.

    Pictures? ?

Kevin: Not sure I understand your question. Are you assuming that the carburetor is related to the windshield washer system?

Kevin: Sorry about my first post. My '61 Powerglide car does not have the windshield washer system. It was removed many years ago and I chose not to buy all the parts to replace it. If your '58 is similar to my '61, you may want to check the AIM under the page Automatic Transmission Vacuum Modulator Pipe. It shows the modulator pipe from the transmission attaching to the rear of the carburetor. The vacuum for the washer system (if you had it) would be attached with a tee to another vacuum point on the carburetor.

What does the fitting on the rear of the carburator look like, do you have a picture?
        Thanks for your help Art.

Kevin: My cell phone doesn't take pictures but perhaps I can take one with my digital camera. Your Carter WCFB may be a little different than my '61 carburetor.
The fitting on the back looks like a square brass plug with an threaded opening on one side for the modulator pipe connector.
