Rear Tail Lamp Housing Mounting Hardware Finish

What is the correct finish on the 1/4-20 nuts GM 134551 and GM 606404 spl washers? This is the hardware that fastens the tail lamp housing(s) to the body and the rear tail light wiring harness to the tail lamp housing(s). Year is 1970

Hi Bill,
On my 71 the finish appears to be dull zinc or cad.
The plating on the washers and nuts that were on the studs that also held the plastic clips from the electrical harness seemed to be preserved by the plastic surface.

I thought I saw a little plating on my hardware but wanted another opinion. A lot of that hardware was missing that held the wiring harness in place. I ultimately replaced the rear harness since more than half of the plastic retainers were broken.
