    coil bracket question

    Does the 1958 230hp use the same coil bracket as the 63-67 ?

      I'm pretty sure they are not. As I recall, the tab with the threaded hole for shielding retention is toward the firewall on the 57-62, while the 63-67 is toward the front of the car.

              Sort of. The 1958 bracket was GM #3751338. That bracket was discontinued in July, 1963 and replaced by GM #3826072. The latter was the 63-67 small block bracket.
