'63 Split Window race car - since '68 in Germany, now for sale - any information?

Hi,

by chance I found this offer for a '63 race car here in Germany:


Does anybody know something about this car? Unfortunately, I can't provide the VIN.

Looks pretty stock except the exterior and with claims like this "Offene Original Sidepipes" I suspect the might be some other bogus claims in that ad.

Well it looks like a race car today. But ask yourself how many "real race cars from the mid 60's had very large flared fenders" Thoughts? ___
Also note that there is no spare tire tub....

Doesn't look like a race car to me. No roll bar or side protection , no six point driver belts..etc. I would talk to Jan at Registry of Corvette Race cars. You can get much better ,well documented Corvette race cars in US than this one. I have one that is a 64 FI that has raced all over country and run at Monterey for years. I'll sell it for $150K and you won't have to ship it and you can drive before buy. :-)
