Pinehurst Concours

Are any of you TDB members going to the Concours event at the Pinehurst Golf resort this weekend? I am golfing there during the event and I always like to meet the people whose words I read on this forum. I had the pleasure of a visit from Don Harris and Steve Ferry yesterday to my hobby shop. It was a big day for me because it was the day to see if my 67 L71 engine (with 67 L89 heads) would start in the bare chassis. This engine has been a subject of many of my posts.

I am happy to report that as soon as it had turned over enough to fill the carb with fuel, it started immediately (using its born-with TI box to boot). How sweet is that? But it was all the more fun to experience a success with fellow TDB members helping.

John Ballard, Don Hopwood and myself are all judges at this event our 2nd year. We are all NCRS members and judges.
