Is it possible to have the following color combination on a 1966 coupe - 978AA Laguna Blue with 420 Saddle interior?

Wayne - The 53-67 NCRS Spec Guide Pocketbook only shows Black/Bright Blue/Dark Blue as possibilities with the Laguna Blue Exterior. Trying to visualize what Laguna Blue over Saddle Interior might look like and I think it would be a decent combination, just not one that was offered.

Wayne - Just looked up that eBay listing (surprised I didn't see it before considering I have it bookmarked and check it at least twice daily) and the tag looks right and the color combination looks very good. I agree with Larry, 'money talks' and in the case of Laguna Blue over Saddle, it was a good choice.

Yes, the tag looks correct to me, however the CA after the number excludes power windows. How would you consider the cars correctness considering there isn't any data showing that color combination and option?

Using the tools we currently have available (NCRS Trim Tag Verification Book) the trim tag can be authenticated. If it is real, how can anyone claim otherwise??

I think that there is such a thing as color override for the interior, maybe the current owner has a invoice. I Am not sure about 66 with a tank sticker as I know 67 has. I thought I remember that 66 could have one if a late car.

Ed - I have a friend with a very late 66, just a couple hundred numbers from the end of production and he's owned it for 30+ year and no luck on finding even remnants of a tank sticker so not sure if any of the 66's came with one, not to say it isn't possible.

I believe the Noland Adams book mentions that some of the very late 66 cars had a tank sticker.

Believe there was an article in a long-ago RESTORER about a '66 with the build sheet stuffed behind the passenger kick pad carpet panel.
