    build date question

VIN NUMBER ID HELP PLEASE- We have a customer with two C-2 corvettes and he does not know his built date ( We would need to know this, so we can get him some date coded mirror glass for his Bowtie mirrors) Any help would be appreciated, we do not have any way to look this up for him. here are the two VIN numbers, I believe one is for a 65 and one for a 67. Thank you in advance for your feedback! The VIN numbers are: 194677s116099 and 197677s119716.

    Joyce,

If you have an iPhone you can download Rob's Vette Birthday app. The birthday app might also be available in the Android store.

Otherwise a Birthday book is available from the NCRS Store www.ncrs.org/shop/

Joyce,The two vins you're asking about are both 1967 Convertibles, however the second vin number should begin with a 194 not a 197. 16099 was built about April 12, 1967 and 19716 was built about May 31, 1967. Double check the vin tags located on a cross bar directly beneath the glove box. There should, also, be a date stamp on the left hand side tag...one letter and two numbers (upper left hand corner area). They will decode the exact build date. Additionally, Joyce, you say you need date coded glass for his Bowtie mirrors...late production '67 mirrors did not have a bowtie stamp in the chrome body of the mirror or date code on the mirror.

          Here you go:

          http://www.c2registry.org/index.php?...hdayCalculator

choose the year and insert the last five digits of the VIN.

            Joyce,
C2Registry.com has a webpage that is a birthday calculator. Click on the link below, select the year and enter the last 5 digits of the vin.

Edit: Michael is a faster at typing than I
