bonding strip rivets

A 63 SWC I'm considering purchasing has what appear to be three surface raised dots, about 1/4" in diameter, on the pass side lower rear deck, near the Corvette script. Two almost line up horizontally, the third one doesn't. Since the car appears to have been repainted long ago, are these three "pimples" evidence of poor accident repair or bonding strip rivet corrosion? They're reminiscent of those on the nose of many C 3's. I don't have an AIM handy (on order) to check the rear deck build structure and need to make a decision in the next day or so.

No rivets were in that area originally. It is common for stuff to show up years later.

I would suspect that there was damage there and it probably can be seen from the underside.

Rear deck is one continuous piece, and smooth on both sides. Quarters & taillight panel were bonded on using strips, and no rivits were used to do it. As suggested, look underneath for old body repair in that area.

that's it!! What are those two holes above the inside taillight?? Is there a third hole towards the center? What are they for?

The holes in the panel above the inside taillight are from the rear deck script, on the passenger side. There's a couple more, but they are not visible in the pics. I also have 3 similar holes on the drivers side, but they are from what I believe is a dealer emblem affixed to the car at one time before I purchased it in 1974.
